Konavle - horse riding tour

Located on the southeast side of the Dubrovnik Riviera are Konavle. This area in the most southern part of Croatia is special for its natural beauties and contrasts – mountains and plains, forests and rocky parts, blue and green, or as the people of Konavle would call it: Upper and Lower bands.

Edged with mountains from the north and the Adriatic Sea from the south, they stretch east up to the entry of Bokakotorski bay and the Prevlaka peninsula and descend west to the tame bays of Cavtat and Obod.

The preserved nature, the unique and highly valuable rural architecture, the numerous monuments from the thousand year old history of this area, the old traditions preserved through folklore, the unique traditional costumes and embroidery, the harmony of life in nature…all make Konavle unique and recognizable.

But besides the natural riches and the culturally-historical heritage of Konavle, in the village Popovići 30 km south of Dubrovnik, there is a riding centre Kojan Koral for tourists searching for adventure, which offers numerous facilities.

One of them is the recreational riding tour whose path leads through olive-groves and pine forests and stretches to the rocks of Konavle from which there is a beautiful view of the Adriatic Sea.

Here we also have the four wheel safari based on the panoramic four wheel motorcycle rides (ATV) that do not require prior driving experience. The 25 km long safari route passes through Čilipi, where it then stops for a tour of a traditional Konavle house and then continues through the Konavle field, across the river Ljuta and back to Kojan Koral.
At the end of their adventure trip, participants are greeted with home-made smoked ham, cheese and wine.

Along with the riding school, Kojal Koral offers therapeutic riding which requires a physiotherapist who helps people with disabilities.
